Psilocybin Mushroom Facilitator Training for Clinical and Wellness Practitioners
Elemental's 150-hour mushroom journey facilitator program combines online and experiential opportunities to support your exploration of education, experience, and ethics for embodied practice as a mushroom journey guide.
Elemental's Mushroom Journey Facilitator Program involves:

80 hours of online synchronous and asynchronous curriculum, study groups, and live calls

70 hours of in-person education for clinical and wellness tracks, including:

4-night in-person Elementals of the Psilocybin Mushroom Journey
-
3-night in-person Deepening your Psilocybin Mushroom Practice
-
Single-day, in-person Practice Circles for supervised practice hours
-
Ongoing virtual consultation groups or individual mentorship

About Elemental's Mushroom Journey Facilitator Program
​
Elemental’s psilocybin mushroom journey facilitator training program aims to bridge conventional clinical paradigms and practice with safe, ethical, and respectful psycho spiritual psychedelic work. At Elemental, we place a high value on ethical and competent psychedelic care and we strive to create safe spaces for providers who are passionate about their role as stewards and custodians to deepen their personal relationship within this emerging field.

Full clinical and full wellness program options are designed to meet the 150 hours of educational content as outlined in the training program requirements of Colorado’s Natural Medicine Rules. Alongside these required objectives, Elemental’s psilocybin mushroom journey facilitator training particularly emphasizes these skills and objectives:

Ability to sit and “be with” a range of client/participant experiences during a medicine session

Cultivating a sense of deep personal relationship with one’s own inner landscape and the mushroom journey space

Embodied experience with non-appropriative ceremony and the importance of creating well-held containers
-
Internalizing the ethics surrounding psychedelic care, risks, power, and avoiding harm
-
A high bar of integrity as members of psychedelic medicine community
-
A deep sense of respect for the awe, mystery, and animate forces that natural medicine work is held within

A deep sense of the responsibility of custodianship for clients/participants, to the social movements that facilitator work is connected to, and to the land that we reside on

How does Elemental's Mushroom Journey Facilitator Program differ between clinical and wellness (non-clinical) practitioner tracks?
​
Non-clinical or wellness practitioners include individuals from a variety of backgrounds in the health, wellness, or healing arts including yoga instructors, life coaches, massage therapists, meditation teachers, doulas, energy workers, reiki practitioners, and CNA’s, EMT’s, and RNs.
Elemental's clinical track is designed for licensed therapists, social workers, nurse practitioners, psychologists, psychiatrists, and other licensed clinicians in the health or mental health fields.

The clinical track includes all of the essential competencies and embodied practices of psilocybin mushroom journey training with particular attention to the context of clinical work.
2024 Cohort for Mushroom Journey Facilitators' Training is NOW OPEN

Our mushroom journey facilitator training takes place over approximately 5 months starting October 4, 2024 and concluding March 14, 2025. Each week, students will engage readings, podcasts, and recorded talks, alongside weekly live calls with training faculty and special guests.

Students will have the opportunity to connect in community through several in-person gatherings , including:

a two-day kick-off gathering on October 4 and 5, 2024 to meet the faculty and jumpstart our educational program together

our Elementals retreat, with two date options to choose from
-
October 9-13, 2024 in Manitou, CO or November 13-17, 2024 in Lyons, CO​

our Deepening your Practice retreat, with two date options to choose from​
-
February 20-23, 2025 in Lyons, CO or February 27-March 2, 2025 in Lyons, CO

a one-day closing gathering on March 14, 2025

Elemental's Mushroom Journey Facilitator Program details:
​
This program includes 150 educational hours, aligned with the learning objectives required in Colorado for facilitators licensing, and the opportunity for students to go on to complete 40 hours of in-person supervised practice. Program cost is $6,900 for students completing the full 150 hours for original licensure in Colorado. (Program cost includes everything students need to complete the 150 hour educational program, except for lodging and meals at in-person retreat weekends). For students with prior completed training in psychedelic therapy or for persons who have already completed some training with Elemental Psychedelics, accelerated program options are available.

After students complete educational hours and the additional 40 hours of supervised practice, Colorado law requires 6 months of individual or group consultation before granting full licensure to natural medicine facilitators. Elemental offers ongoing virtual group consultation to meet this requirement at an affordable cost or individual mentorship for those seeking more in-depth, personalized study.
